"I'm willing to pay a penny on a dollar if it means getting our roads fixed," says Betty Scalise, a Machesney Park resident and mother.
"I dodge potholes every day. I see school buses dodge them, and children on bikes swerving to avoid them as well. It’s time we fix these roads, and a penny is a small price to pay for safe streets."
"For the small amount of a penny per dollar, Machesney Park can finally rebuild its infrastructure, revitalize neighborhoods, and increase economic opportunity and jobs in this town," says Clancy McCarthy, controller, MAG Cincinnati Automation. "From a business standpoint, I call that a good bargain."
“I’ve lived here a long time and I’m tired of driving on rough, bumpy streets,” says Jan Howell, a Machesney Park resident, mother, and grandmother. “For a penny on a dollar, let’s get these roads fixed!”
“Good roads help attract new businesses,” says Doug Wallace, vice president and general manager, Monagram Systems. “The 1% referendum is a fiscally responsible and cost effective way to make needed improvements to the village’s streets.”
